Tiffany loves being able to support clients along their eating disorder recovery journeys of working through food and body image challenges. Recovery is not a one-size-fits all journey, and Tiffany respects that recovery may look a bit different for everyone. She is passionate about meeting clients wherever they lie on the spectrum of motivation, and enjoys supporting highly motivated clients as well as clients who may find themselves feeling ambivalent about their desire to recover.Tiffany recognizes that changing eating disorder behaviors can feel incredibly daunting for clients, and she supports clients through this process by providing an accepting, non-judgmental environment. One of the aspects that Tiffany enjoys most when working with clients is being able to provide the “why” behind each recommendation. Tiffany believes that it is important to provide evidence-based, scientific basis for recommendations given that even difficult nutrition recommendations can feel just a little bit more doable when one knows why the recommendation is being made. Tiffany believes that each client deserves to know the scientific basis for any recommendations (providing context on how specific nutrition changes benefit the brain, muscles, immune system, hormones, gut microbiome diversity, and digestion) and is always happy to answer any questions clients have. She is a firm believer in individualized care, and is well-versed in modifying recommendations in consideration of the other physiological challenges and medical comorbidities that clients may face that complicate nutrition in recovery, such as GI disorders, food allergies and intolerances, and autoimmune disorders.

In addition to her 1:1 client work, Tiffany is passionate about increasing eating disorder awareness. Tiffany served as the past Education Chair for the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) San Diego Chapter from 2017-2019. In addition to community service, Tiffany has frequently written and been quoted in articles published on online publication platforms such as The Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, Food & Nutrition Magazine published by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and WellSeek on topics related to nutrition science and eating disorder recovery.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
